Togetherness is key<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re seeing many organisations using our operator assisted\nevent call service to run large conference calls (typically for more than 150\npeople) to communicate their Covid-19 policy to large groups of employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re also running regular \u201call hands\u201d cross company large conference\ncalls to generate a feeling of togetherness, with so many people working from\nhome. They\u2019re vital to keep up morale and motivation in such difficult times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The size of these calls can vary, depending on the size of\nthe company. Business leaders may need to address audiences from 150 people to\nas many as 8,000 attendees in one meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought it might be useful to share some thoughts with you\nas I know many people are currently looking for the best way of addressing\nlarge audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selecting the right option<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With so many options available, a lot of people are not sure\nwhat solution or vendor to choose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Should you run a webcast? What about a webinar? Would a\nlarge conference call do the job? Is an operator assisted call (sometimes\ncalled an operator managed call) the best option?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many are pushing \u201cfree\u201d offers during the Covid-19 crisis. While\nthis might seem appealing, there are things to look out for, that if ignored,\ncould result in a poor experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuring audio quality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One such thing is how the audio element of a large conference\ncall is carried. It directly affects the quality of the audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recent surge in online meeting volumes, due to so many\npeople working from home, has stress tested even the biggest\nIP based providers<\/a> of remote meetings, webinars and webcasts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many have experienced outages and poor quality audio at peak\ntimes. That\u2019s because a lot of VOIP based remote meeting solutions have been\ndesigned for the majority of people to be using these services on a company\nmanaged network, with just a small amount of remote usage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When most people are working from home, the reverse is true.\nThis results in choke points which could affect audio quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
