LoopUp Appoints Katherine Nellums as Vice President of Marketing

LONDON – August 30, 2016 – LoopUp (LSE AIM: LOOP), a premium remote meetings solution, today announced that Katherine Nellums has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. Nellums brings over a decade of experience driving corporate communications and marketing strategy for both private and newly public technology companies in Silicon Valley. At LoopUp, Nellums will oversee all strategic marketing initiatives. She will be based in the company’s London headquarters.

“Katherine brings years of experience enabling fast-growth B2B technology companies to develop compelling corporate narratives, better engage their customers and prospects through traditional and digital media channels, and capitalize on the market opportunity in front of them,” said Steve Flavell, co-CEO of LoopUp. “As a newly public company, expanding our marketing efforts is one of our top priorities and we are excited to welcome Katherine to the team at this exciting time in our growth,” said Steve Flavell, co-CEO of LoopUp.

Prior to LoopUp, Nellums was a Vice President and Partner at LEWIS PR, a global technology public relations firm, where she led a multi-million-dollar business unit serving venture-backed and newly public companies. While at LEWIS, Nellums developed external communications programs for prominent B2B technology brands such as FireEye, Imperva, AlienVault, Coverity and New Relic, among others. Before LoopUp, Nellums helped establish the San Francisco offices for Merritt Group, where she led account servicing, and Infinite PR (now Infinite Global). Nellums has Bachelors of Arts degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, Davis.

“LoopUp is solving a common problem that most people have accepted as unsolvable. That they have built such a strong business without a formal marketing function to date is testament to the value LoopUp’s customers find in the product and the shrewd leadership of executive team,” said Nellums. “I’m eager to contribute to this impressive team as we continue to deliver a better remote meeting experience for business users around the world.”

Nellums’ appointment follows quickly on the heels of LoopUp Group’s recent initial public offering on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange on August 24, 2016.
