For those of you who don’t know us, we’re all about making conference calls and online meetings less painful / frustrating / annoying / chaotic / downright terrible – you get the idea – than the world has had to put up with for the last dozen or so years. We take the misery out of remote business meetings – not knowing who’s on and who’s speaking, distracting background noise, late joiners, difficulties screen sharing, etc. To say that we make conferencing enjoyable is probably an overstatement, but we’d certainly claim to make it as enjoyable as it can be. More on that in our next post…
The focus of this blog will be our world: business collaboration. We want to get under the skin of the problems we see in that world today; we want to tell the real story, not the conference circuit story. We’ll look in on that world from various viewpoints: collaboration technology providers, conferencing service providers, resellers, agents, procurement professionals, IT decision-makers and support staff included. However, if our focus is anywhere, it will be on the end user, the person we believe has really suffered the raw end of the conferencing deal to date – until LoopUp, that is.
We’ll also get into worlds that touch our world – life in Silicon Valley and Silicon Roundabout, the cloud, software-as-a-service (SaaS), the science and etiquette of meetings, communicating effectively, effective sales tactics, product design and development, technology solutions, encouraging entrepreneurship, as well as some behind-the-scenes glimpses into work and play life at LoopUp.
Most of the views will be ours, but we’ll also be introducing some expert external voices into the debate, and we’d definitely like to hear your thoughts on the world of conference calling, online meetings and business collaboration.
So stay tuned…
