Steve Flavell is responsible for LoopUp's global commercial activities, based out of London. Prior to LoopUp, Steve was EVP and main board director at GoIndustry, the online industrial auctioneering platform. As part of its founding team, Steve played an instrumental role in the company's success, which included six acquisitions, rapid organic growth and listing on AIM. Previously, Steve spent five years in strategy consulting with Monitor Company and Mars & Co, and two years with Mobil Oil. He has an MBA from Stanford and MEng from St. John's College, Cambridge.
Michael Hughes is responsible for LoopUp's product development and platform operations worldwide, based out of San Francisco. Prior to LoopUp, he was a founding member and CEO of Pagoo, a pioneering VoIP company. He played a key role in setting strategy, fundraising, building the early stage team and expanding into Europe and Asia. Prior to Pagoo, he was a strategy consultant with Monitor. He has an MEng from Imperial College, an MBA from Stanford as an Arjay Miller Scholar, and was awarded a Sainsbury Management Fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineers. Michael was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in Her Majesty’s 2017 New Year’s Honours List for services to graduate development via the Silicon Valley Internship Programme.
Marcus Greensit, based out of London, is responsible for LoopUp’s global commercial operations. Prior to rejoining LoopUp in 2012, Marcus was acting MD of BDM Ltd. which he sold to Restore plc, held various management roles at LoopUp (2004-8) and was Business Process manager at GoIndustry. Marcus holds a BSc in Agriculture and Business Management from Newcastle University.
Ed Cooper is in-house General Counsel, based out of London. Prior to joining LoopUp in 2017, he worked as a lawyer for a variety of companies including Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). Ed is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales who trained with Lawrence Graham (now Gowling WLG) following graduating with distinction from BPP Law School and UCL.
Simon qualified as a chartered accountant in 1997. He subsequently spent ten years in corporate finance at BDO and EY, advising on capital markets, M&A and fund-raising; and five years as a corporate finance adviser and Nomad at Dowgate and as a founding partner of Cairn Financial Advisers. He has also founded businesses in online gaming and peer to peer FX. More recently, he has held positions as CFO, CEO and NED in companies in alternative finance, healthcare/biotech, and SaaS. He has an MA in mathematics from Balliol College, Oxford and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
