On the 3rd of September, the LoopUp Hong Kong team was delighted to showcase our product at the sell-out launch party for the British Chamber of Commerce SME Marketplace initiative. This took place at KPMG’s impressive offices and involved 15 vendors demonstrating their products and offerings to an eager and bustling crowd of entrepreneurs and employers. Major names such as British Airways, HSBC and Virgin Atlantic were in attendance offering products, services and advice to growing enterprises in Hong Kong. LoopUp’s conferencing and online meetings product attracted particular attention for its ease-of-use, as well as its Pay As You Go pricing model which allows comfort and flexibility to SMEs who are unsure of their initial conferencing usage.
Hong Kong’s SME community is one of the driving economic forces in the region. With around 320,000 businesses employing nearly 1.3 million people, the SME community provides around 47% of total employment in Hong Kong (source: Trade and Industry Department – Support and Consultation for SMEs). LoopUp is always looking for ways to support industry, and with our Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong we are well placed to support an initiative to help this sector grow.
As such, the LoopUp Hong Kong team, led by Matt Benwell, has become heavily involved with the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong as part of its SME Committee. This Committee has created the SME Marketplace, a resource designed to support SMEs by connecting them to trusted professional service providers who provide expertise and tailored offerings to encourage success and promote growth. LoopUp joins other Chamber members as part of the first wave of vendors supporting BritCham SME members in this way.
The BritCham SME Marketplace is an ongoing project and LoopUp is very proud to be a keen contributor of this great initiative. We look forward to continuing to support commerce in the region at future events.
