Attendee LinkedIn profiles add social and human context to everyday conference calls.

LONDON, 10 SEP 2012: LoopUp, the provider of simple, pain-free conference calls and online meetings, today announced the integration of attendee LinkedIn profiles.

With LoopUp’s Web and smartphone apps, all users have a view of who’s on the call and who’s speaking, and call leaders have the ability to control the call as needed. From today, LinkedIn profile information will also be displayed in the Web app, adding an extra level of social context about all attendees.

“This step progresses our mission to give business professionals better remote business meetings,” said Alex Breen, EVP Product at LoopUp. “LinkedIn profile information helps in a couple of ways. It makes the call more human and less ’black box’ in situations where you’re not necessarily familiar with all the guests on a call. It can also provide some handy talking points in those first few minutes while attendees are assembling.”

LinkedIn profiling is the latest integration in the LoopUp product, which also includes a Web app, smartphone apps (iPhone, Android and BlackBerry) and an add-in for Outlook®. LoopUp is currently developing an iPad app, which it expects to announce in late 2012.
