London, UK – 31st July 2020 – LoopUp, the premium remote meetings provider, announces the launch of its global cloud communication solution for Microsoft Teams. The service uses Direct Routing to connect Teams users to LoopUp’s global voice network, providing full telephony functionality. Users can make and receive voice calls directly from Teams on any device, from anywhere in the world, retaining their existing phone number. It allows multinational enterprises to move all users to a consistent cloud-based telephony platform, eliminating the need for on-premises PBX equipment and local carrier relationships.
Michael Hughes, co-CEO of LoopUp, commented, “COVID-19 has accelerated a change in working habits. Use of Microsoft Teams is growing rapidly for internal collaboration, with daily active users increasing by 70% to 75 million in the last two months. But to date, few large businesses have integrated Teams with telephony. Doing so makes sense because it simplifies operations, reduces cost, and aligns the user experience for internal and external communications.”
LoopUp – a certified Microsoft Gold partner – is well positioned to meet the cloud communication needs of large enterprises. Its premium global voice network – built over the last 15 years for the stringent demands of professional services clients – integrates 13 tier-1 regional carriers from around the world over a resilient backbone. This allows real-time carrier selection and redundancy to optimise call quality, reliability and cost.
LoopUp has the global reach to deliver a fully managed service to the largest multinationals, providing 24/7 multi-lingual support and local account management from 15 offices on four continents. LoopUp’s Enablit business unit has the deep expertise required to deliver a seamless and secure transition from legacy systems to cloud communications. It has specialised in Microsoft voice solutions since 2010, working with OCS, Lync, Skype for Business and now Teams.
LoopUp has a proven track record with Microsoft voice solutions. It already provides more than 120 enterprise customers with cloud voice via Teams or Skype for Business. This has previously been offered on a limited geographic basis, but by adding cloud voice to its core offering which also includes premium remote meetings, LoopUp is making its cloud communication solution available globally. All LoopUp solutions are offered with a single monthly user subscription, and remote meetings continue to be available as a standalone solution.
Steve Flavell, co-CEO of LoopUp, commented, “LoopUp is fantastically well placed to help existing and new customers on the journey to a cloud-based communication platform with our global operations footprint, premium voice network and deep Microsoft expertise. We’re very excited to announce this major extension to our customer proposition”.
